The twelve houses of the sky.

The zodiac isn’t a personality quiz. Each sign is a different answer to the same question — how do you meet the world? — and your chart uses all twelve, weighted by the sky at your birth. These are the reference pages. Written by Omkar from 14 years of practice, not generated.

Common questions

About the zodiac signs

Is my Sun sign the same as my zodiac sign?

In casual speech, yes — when someone asks your sign they usually mean your Sun. But a full chart has 10+ placements, each in one of the twelve signs. Your Moon sign (emotional nature), Rising sign (outward persona), and the sign of each inner planet all shape how you move through life. These pages cover each sign in itself; the birth chart tool shows which ones you actually carry.

What's the difference between element and modality?

Element (fire / earth / air / water) is what a sign is made of — the substance of its energy. Modality (cardinal / fixed / mutable) is how it moves — whether it starts things, holds them, or adapts. Every sign is one element + one modality, and no two signs share both. That's how you get 12 unique flavours from just 4 × 3.

Do I really belong to my sign if my birthday is right at the cusp?

Cusp signs aren't a real thing in the math. The Sun moves ~1° per day and enters the next sign on a specific minute — our birth chart tool computes your exact Sun degree from your birth time, so you'll know precisely. If you're born within hours of a sign change, knowing your birth time matters more than usual.
